As of 30 Oct 2026, the panel rates Gastronovi 3/5 and LINA TeamCloud 3/5 in POS & Checkout Systems. Weighted by what each judge cares about, 4 of the 6 judges pick Gastronovi and 2 pick LINA TeamCloud. Gastronovi scores higher on 3 of 7 criteria (Card payments & fees, Pricing transparency and Inventory, tables, staff & locations). LINA TeamCloud scores higher on 4 of 7 criteria (Accounting handoff, DATEV & data export, European sovereignty, Checkout, receipts & hardware, plus 1 more). Provenance — Gastronovi: EU-Made; LINA TeamCloud: EU-Made. Ratings are the AI panel’s opinion, formed from public evidence: how scores are made.
Gastronovi and LINA TeamCloud divide the bench, and no overall winner emerges. Gastronovi leads payments and fees (6.3 vs 4.0), operations and locations (8.0 vs 7.0) and pricing transparency (7.2 vs 5.5), with six judges leaning its way on each. LINA TeamCloud leads sovereignty (5.0 vs 4.0, six judges), accounting and portability (6.2 vs 5.0, five judges) and, narrowly, fiscal compliance (6.0 vs 5.7; two lean LINA TeamCloud, four tie) and checkout and hardware (5.3 vs 4.8; three lean LINA TeamCloud, one Gastronovi, two tie). Of four published weighted totals, three favour Gastronovi — fee-conscious merchant 6.4 to 5.3, operations manager 5.8 to 5.5, skeptic 5.7 to 5.4 — and the tax adviser favours LINA TeamCloud 5.6 to 5.3. Gastronovi publishes licence tiers of 69, 59 and 49 € per month; LINA TeamCloud publishes Core ab 99 €, Pro ab 249 €, Max ab 399 € net per month.
Choose Gastronovi if
You run several branches or a franchise and want central articles, recipes and suppliers inherited to locations with local overrides — operations and locations leans Gastronovi six judges to none (8.0 vs 7.0).
Card fees decide your margin — payments and fees leans Gastronovi six judges to none (6.3 vs 4.0); its verdict credits card fees published per type and volume, while the LINA TeamCloud verdict found no published fee per card type, acquirer or payout timing.
You need published licence prices before signing — pricing transparency leans Gastronovi six judges to none (7.2 vs 5.5), with tiers of 69, 59 and 49 € per month and a 17 % annual discount.
Your priorities match the fee-conscious merchant, operations manager or skeptic profile — those published weighted totals favour Gastronovi at 6.4 vs 5.3, 5.8 vs 5.5 and 5.7 vs 5.4.
Choose LINA TeamCloud if
Your tax adviser must sign off the till — fiscal compliance leans LINA TeamCloud on two judges with four ties (6.0 vs 5.7); the verdict names both TSE routes, fiskaly's cloud TSE on Frankfurt servers and Swissbit hardware, with DSFinV-K interfaces and a GoBD-conform cash book.
You want clean hand-off to accounting or a later switch of systems — accounting and portability leans LINA TeamCloud on five judges with one tie (6.2 vs 5.0).
Procurement weighs vendor sovereignty heavily — the panel leans LINA TeamCloud six judges to none (5.0 vs 4.0); both are German legal entities, with LINA TeamCloud's subprocessor exposure listed as US CLOUD Act exposure and Gastronovi's listed as unknown.
You want a named hardware line at the till — checkout and hardware leans LINA TeamCloud three judges to one with two ties (5.3 vs 4.8); the verdict records judges split 4 to 6, the 6 scores crediting a real, named hardware line.
Your weighting mirrors the tax adviser's — that judge's published weighted total favours LINA TeamCloud, 5.6 vs 5.3.

The Fee-Conscious Merchant
Sells ice cream from a shop in spring and summer and from a market stall at Christmas, mostly in amounts under five euros, and more of them by card every year. Wants the fee per girocard and credit card payment on the price page, a terminal he can choose rather than the one the till insists on, hardware that runs off a battery, no monthly fee in the closed months, and the real cost of "free".

Criterion by criterion
Checkout, receipts & hardware
Gastronovi
The till runs on terminals, tablets and smartphones, sends receipts digitally by QR code or email to the 2025 e-invoice standard, and a front-office offline mode is confirmed in the privacy policy; the kitchen monitor with course control is included free with the till, though its hardware costs extra. For my market stall we found no public information on battery operation, a list of supported receipt printers and cash drawers, offline limits, split bills, or returns and cancellations.
LINA TeamCloud
The till runs on the vendor's own named devices — a 15.6-inch stand terminal, the RS10 handheld for tableside service, order kiosks and receipt printers — with an e-receipt and cloud backup, a customer display, split and merged bills, and an offline-capable hybrid approach with master data in the cloud. The captured pages do not state the limits of offline operation (an FAQ topic on internet outages exists but the answer is not shown), a hardware compatibility list, scales, or the buy-or-rent terms for the hardware.
Card payments & fees
Gastronovi
This is the price page I have always wanted: girocard is listed at 0,10% up to 50.000 € monthly volume (0,04% ab 150.001 €), VISA and Mastercard from 0,70%, American Express 3,65%, Klarna 1,5% + 0,20 €, plus a per-transaction charge of 10 Cent down to 6 Cent, all under an explained Interchange++ model — and the amount, with tip suggestion, goes to the terminal or the tap-to-pay app without retyping. We found no public information on the payment institution behind Gastronovi Pay, payout timing, what the terminals cost, or my right to run my own acquirer at the till.
LINA TeamCloud
Payments are deeply integrated — EC and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, QR and contactless, digital tips, payment at the table and directly on the mobile till without a separate terminal, all under one contract. We found no public information naming the acquirer or the regulated payment institution, on payout timing, or on the fee per girocard or credit card transaction; 'du zahlst nur die tatsächlichen Payment-Kosten' is as specific as it gets, and that fee decides whether a five-euro ice cream sale still pays. LINA Core is quoted at 99 €/ Monat with payment versus 119 €/ Monat without, and we found no public information on using a terminal or acquirer of my own choice.
Fiscal compliance (TSE, DSFinV-K, RKSV)
Gastronovi
The German side is served by a cloud TSE from fiskaly at 14 € monatl. / 140 € jährl. with 10.000 transactions included, and Austria by A-Trust signing with FinanzOnline registration at the same licence price; KassenSichV- and RKSV-conform signing of receipts is stated and a digital cash book is a priced module. We found no public information on the DSFinV-K export, the BSI certificate, GoBD ten-year storage, help with the § 146a AO registration, or a Verfahrensdokumentation template.
LINA TeamCloud
The TSE providers are named — fiskaly for a cloud TSE on servers in Frankfurt am Main, Swissbit for USB, SD and Micro-SD hardware variants — and the pages state DSFinV-K-conform interfaces, an automatic cash book with daily closing, support with Kassenmeldepflicht and Belegausgabepflicht, a GoBD-conform cash book and audit exports into the DATEV Kassenarchiv online. We found no public information on the BSI certificate of the TSE, on ten-year GoBD storage, on a Verfahrensdokumentation template, or on the fiscal rules of any country besides Germany.
Inventory, tables, staff & locations
Gastronovi
This suite runs the whole operation: articles, recipes and suppliers held centrally for all branches, purchase orders straight into Transgourmet, Selgros and METRO Lieferservice with direct supplier price comparison, mobile stocktaking, a free kitchen monitor with real-time orders and course control, QR self-ordering, individual user roles, central menus inherited to branches with local overrides, cross-location real-time reporting and a Mehrbetrieb module for franchise structures. We found no public information on a per-employee log of cancellations and voids or on stock transfers between branches.
LINA TeamCloud
The stock module handles several suppliers, automatic reordering against target stock, digital inventory counts and recipes with contribution margins; the kitchen side has digital monitors with station routing, course control and self-order kiosks; staff get roles and rights, personnel files, absence and duty rosters; and articles and prices are managed centrally in the cloud, with monitoring of TSEs and activity across locations. We found no public information on a log of cancellations and voids per employee, on cash differences per employee, on stock transfers between branches, or on cross-site reporting.
Accounting handoff, DATEV & data export
Gastronovi
The DATEV-Format-Schnittstelle is free and offers cumulative and individual booking exports, a second accounting path runs through ETL ADHOGA with its own chart of accounts, and the named integration list is long — seventeen hotel systems, Nesto for staff, voucher and procurement providers. We found no public information on a documented API with webhooks, DATEV Kassenarchiv online, card payouts and fees booked separately for reconciliation, or a full export of articles, customers and sales when the contract ends.
LINA TeamCloud
The DATEV handoff is concrete: the cash book imports the day's data from the till automatically, generates the 'DATEV Rechnungswesen pro' file for download at any time, passes digital receipt images to the Belegbilderservice DATEV, and connects to DATEV MeinFiskal and thus the DATEV Kassenarchiv online. We found no public information on a documented public API with webhooks, on booking card payouts and fees separately for reconciliation, or on a full export of articles, customers and sales when the contract ends — the machine-readable export described is the GDPR right to data portability on request.
European sovereignty
Gastronovi
The contracting entity is Gastronovi GmbH, Buschhöhe 2, 28357 Bremen, registered at Amtsgericht Bremen HRB 32767 HB, with an external German data protection officer in Bremen; the TSE providers fiskaly and A-Trust are European, and the named non-EU subprocessors (Atlassian Pty Ltd, Australien, for the status page; LogMeIn, Inc. under Art. 28 DSGVO) carry EU standard contractual clauses, with rapidmail GmbH in Freiburg for the newsletter. What stays dark: we found no public information on where the cloud data is hosted, the ownership, or security certifications.
LINA TeamCloud
The contracting entity is Gastro-MIS GmbH of Gräfelfing with a Munich commercial register entry (HRB 123712), all data is stated to be stored in Germany with the fiskaly cloud TSE on Frankfurt servers, and a data processing agreement under Art. 28 DSGVO is concluded. But the hosting provider is left unnamed as a possible external Dienstleister, no subprocessor list is published, WhatsApp communication runs through Meta Platforms Ireland under a US parent, and we found no public information on security certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
Pricing transparency
Gastronovi
As a seasonal seller I can nearly compute my year from these pages: licence tiers per Betrieb from 69 € monatl. down to 49 € ab der 6. Lizenz, a 25 € weekly tariff for the high season that ends by itself at Sunday midnight, the cloud TSE at 14 € monatl. with 10.000 transactions included, every module priced, setup fees named, 17 % saved on annual payment, and minimum terms and notice periods stated. The gaps: we found no public information on hardware and terminal prices, the price of the support packages (Swiss support only on request by email), or the VAT treatment of the prices.
LINA TeamCloud
The licence side is unusually clear: three monthly packages at 99 €, 249 € and 399 € net per month — 119 €, 369 € and 559 € respectively without payment — with 1 to 3 POS-Lizenzen included, jede weitere Lizenz at 49 €, an order kiosk at 75 € and a kitchen or bar monitor at 49 €. But the TSE carries no price ('Bestelle deine TSE jetzt direkt bei uns im Shop'), hardware, setup and support are unpriced, and above all the girocard and credit card fees behind 'nur die tatsächlichen Payment-Kosten' are not published. A monthly subscription ('Monatsabo') is stated with no minimum term or notice period figure on the captured pages, so I cannot compute the real annual cost for a shop that closes in winter.
